Music Ministry

Music is an important part of worship at University Heights. Traditional hymns and anthems blend with contemporary music as we lift our voices in praise to God.

Our Chancel Choir sings each Sunday morning at the 10:00 a.m. service and rehearses Wednesday evenings at 7:15 - 8:30 p.m. They sing a wide variety of music – classical and traditional anthems, hymn-tune arrangements, early American hymns, and spirituals are in their repertoire. New singers are always welcome!

We have three octaves of Schulmerich handbells at University Heights. Our Handbell Choir rehearses Wednesday evenings at 6:15 - 7:00 p.m. and rings in worship about once a month. Anyone who reads music, even just a little, is welcome to give this group a try.

Children's Music Ministry

We are excited to introduce a music ministry for the youngest members of our congregation! Every child has the opportunity to learn how to praise God through music. By incorporating the choir rehearsal into Sunday's schedule you avoid an additional weekly commitment and more time with your family. However, we encourage you to make a commitment to arrive by 9:45 a.m. so that there is enough time for both the Sunday School Lesson and Children's Choir.
